Ohhhh. I’ll never eat again. I swear.

The weekend was a blur of stuffing rich food into my pie hole.

Saturday afternoon I got to hang out with my son and his girl as we switched his cell phone carrier to my provider. It has been a while since I moved to Sprint from Verizon. I left him behind at Verizon until his contract expired. Somehow I was paying $80 for him to have a crappy, old school clamshell phone. Apparently there is a carrier price war going on now. I was tuned-out. When the clerk totaled up my new service plan I kept trying to figure out the catch. How was it that I was moving him to a smart phone, buying a high end smart phone, and paying so much less? And why are they giving him a free tablet with a data plan?

It took an excruciatingly long time to get his number ported from Verizon to Sprint. By the time we walked out of the store, we were famished. They are vegans, so I let them pick their poison and they went for a Thai restaurant in my neighborhood they favor.

I pigged out there. There’s nothing appetizer-sized on the menu.

I came home and it was time to put giant filets on the grill for John Day.

Saturday’s movie du jour was Inside Llewyn Davis. I love the Coen Brothers. I know they are a divider of people, but I really enjoy their quirkiness. Llewyn Davis was a slog. Total atmosphere piece with no plot roots at all. Disappointing.

Sunday was an underwear day. I sat on the couch in my underwear and tapped Minecraft on the tablet like a Skinner Rat. My Father-in-Law showed up with a bag full of gourmet groceries. He and My Beautiful Wife whipped up a culinary masterpiece together. Once again, I stuffed my maw until I could not move.

Once again to the theater, this time for a second viewing of Hunger Games. I liked it better the second time around.  I thought the ending with Katniss frozen in Carbonite was All-Balls.

It’s a busy week at work. Lots to clear up before I take off next week for my Cabin in the Woods.

As a matter of fact, I should be working now. I’m going to cut this short.
